For events that are overnight, the hotel discount blocks fill up quick! Usually 4-6 months before the event. Always mention the event to get the discount. You can cancel your reservation if you decide not to go or find a roommate who already has a room too.
STEP 1
Each event has an online registration form to fill out and pay by credit card. They also have forms you can print to mail in with a check. We usually go for the entire event and sometimes get the t-shirt. Look for the "early bird deadline" to take advantage of the discounted fee.
STEP 2
All the events I recommend are within driving distance. We are used to carpooling to save gas/money. Once you have registered, let me know if you'd like to ride or drive in our carpools.
STEP 3

The largest dance event in the midwest is a quick trip to the Ft. Wayne Indiana Convention Center. Over a 1000 people attended last year, with more expected this year. The hotels will fill up! You can attend one workshop or the entire weekend. It is worth it to make the time to see this Mecca of line and country dancing. Get your room early, let us know if you'd like a roommate, and don't miss the early bird registration deadline. Edie gets the step sheets in digital form and shares them with you, so unless you want your own printed copy to carry around with you, spend that money on something else fun!

The event directors are old friends of mine...and the vibe of this event reminds me of some of the bests events ever, hosted by John Robinson at the same hotel.
Registration is at the website. I have reserved a table for us in the main ballroom. You can help pay for it ($10+) at the event. I have also purchased the step sheet book, so you can look at mine any time.
I bought the VIP pass ($150), which includes one dinner. The other night(s) we can find a local restaurant to gather at.
We will carpool and share gasoline expenses. If you want to share room costs with a roommate before you book a room, let me know and I'll match folks up. Otherwise, you can book the room without paying in advance, and cancel up to 24 hrs before arrival if we end up with too many rooms.
The event will be at the Wyndham Indianapolis Airport
